The Prenatal Postpartum Mood Disorder Task Force is a community collaborative consisting of representatives from Northcoast Children’s Services, United Indian Health Services, the Department of Health and Human Services Public Health Branch-Maternal Child and Adolescent Health, Health Education and Nursing divisions, local family resource centers and playgroups, school nursing, Mad River Community Hospital, St. Joseph Hospital Health System, Redwood Memorial Hospital, Department of Health and Human Services Mental Health Branch, K’ima:w Medical Center, First 5 Humboldt, Paso a Paso, OB provider offices, local mental health practices, and the Breastfeeding Task Force of Humboldt County. Community members who have experience with perinatal mood disorders are also considered valuable members. The task force meets monthly at the Community Wellness Center, 908 7th Street-Eureka.

"To serve as a catalyst in our community to de-stigmatize and increase awareness about mental health issues related to childbearing through education, outreach and collaboration."
